So the babies will be 12 weeks this Sunday, and they have changed so much! They just got back from their 2 month pediatrician visit, and their current weights are:
- Evan.....10 lb. 9 oz.
- Cameron....11 lbs. 15 oz.
- Sophia....10 lb. 12 oz.
Cameron is in the 50th percentile while Sophia and Evan are in the 25th. The doctors said they are acting and developing like full term babies! The sad part of the visit was watching them get their immunizations...but they were so brave and went right to sleep afterward! We spoke with the doctor about Sophia, who has been causing us great worry the past few weeks. She is fussing alot while she eats, and is not taking as much as she used to. Her daily intake has decreased about 5 oz, and she is not pooping as much. The doctor thinks she may be constipated or gassy, so we are giving her Mylicon drops and prune juice...yes, you read that right. They wanted to try a natural approach before turning to suppositories. If this doesn't work, we may have to try a soy based formula, as she may be lactose intolerant. We are willing to try anything, it is so horrible seeing her struggle and in pain.
We have had quite an exciting month...the triplets took two big trips-one to the Brooklyn Fair and one to Grammy Denier's house at the lake. They are all smiling now and lifting their heads to look around. It is so wonderful watching them grow and learn!
