So the babies are 15 months old, and SO much fun! Everyday they learn something new, try something dangerous, and destroy something valuable! Seriously though, they are getting much braver and more curious, and that is not a good combination! They have gotten much more stable and are walking around very confidently-even if their feet disagree. In this process, we have gone through more bumps, bruises, and black eyes this past month than a championship boxer.
Cameron has a new obsession...Thomas the Tank Engine. I could blame this on Grampy Tim, who shares the train obsession, but they came into this all their own. One day Thomas was on TV, and Cameron kept saying "TAH, TAH, TAH". I thought he was just babbling until a few hours later he grabbed the Thomas book we have, brought it over to me, pointed and said (with much more insistence) "TAH!!" Okay buddy, I can take a hint! He now carries either the DVD case or one of his Thomas toys at all times. God help the person who attempts to take it away.
Evan has become a little daredevil...he is into EVERYTHING and is usually the one who starts all the trouble. So far he's tried to climb the ladder on our playscape (and gotten up two steps before we could get there), knock over our TV, and never ceases to give up trying to find a way around those darned baby gates! I figured out you just can't baby proof enough for three toddlers...short of removing all furniture, toys, and padding the walls.
Sophia is her usual firecracker self...she walks around talking to anyone and anything she encounters-too bad we have no idea what she's saying. She loves to play with her brothers, but loves to cuddle even more. She's not as daring as Evan, but definitely will follow in his footsteps, no matter how dangerous the path he leads.
Yeah, I'm the mom who puts leashes on her kids. Never thought I'd be...but believe it or not, they love them! Now that they are all walking, they are no longer content to be mere bystanders in a stroller...no, they must move-and in three different directions I might add. Luckily on this trip we had three adults to tame the herd.
Sophia loves hers the most...she walked around hugging it, and cried when I tried to take it off. I had to let her carry it around the house for a while, and hide it when she dropped it.
Scrumdidliumptious!
Grammy and Grampy Denier, Naunie, and I took the babies to the Durham fair. It started off a little iffy...the babies were hot and hungry-never a good combination. Once we got them fed and ice creamed up to cool off, we took them to the animal barns. Bit hit! Sophia loved the bunnies, but wasn't too keen on getting close enough to touch. Evan was just happy making Grampy chase him around the barn. Cameron, on the other hand, made sure he got to touch each and every one of the animals. I think we may need to start a farm.
Grammy and Evan
We loved visiting GG at her house! She has lots of cool things to play with...(sorry about the plant)!
We went swimming at Grammy and Grampy Moran's house. We had so much fun playing with our cousin Kady!
Dave mows the lawn every weekend, and every weekend the babies line up and watch him. This is their solution to getting a better view.
