Well, we survived the triplets' first Christmas! What fun it was! It all began Christmas Eve when we took them to a Campbell family tradition-party at my Auntie Anne's house in Portland. Since it's Christmas Eve, and most people (including Daddy) had to work that day, it was a late night for the babies. We got to the party around 6:00 or so, which is usually their bedtime, and the fun lasted about half an hour or so before Sophia broke down. Naturally, mommy followed. Over all the babies did great...we had brought their "Jesus beds" (thought it was fitting given the occasion) and after we attempted to feed them, we put them down upstairs. At this point mommy and daddy tried to enjoy themselves, but I have to admit I was a bit of a party pooper. Sophia had not had the best day, and after listening to her scream for an hour my heart just wasn't in it. Thanks to daddy and Grammy's patience, the babies settled down to sleep and mommy managed to enjoy herself for a little while. Unfortunately, due to the stress and chaos, the babies missed out on Santa and gift opening (which explains why there are no pictures of Grammy and Grampy Denier opening gifts with them). The babies' gifts were opened at 11:00 pm by a hurried and exhausted mommy and daddy while their patient and sympathetic grandparents looked on. Christmas day was better...the babies woke up clueless as to the great importance of the day-but mommy and daddy had fun humoring themselves anyway. Grammy Laurie and Grampaw Mawk (my dad and stepmom) came over with Uncle Jonny and Uncle Joe for breakfast. The babies had a super time hanging out and soaked up all the Christmas love. After a quick nap (for the babies, not mommy and daddy although they badly needed it), it was off to Grammy Missy and Grampy Luke's house in Norwood, MA. The babies were in much better moods, and had a great time with their aunts, uncles, and cousin Kady. Overall, it was a great first Christmas and I will just need to remind myself to RELAX next year and enjoy the holiday for its true meaning...God and family. We just had their 6 month check up at the pediatrician, and got nothing but good news. The babies are progressing just as they should be, and are all developmentally on track. Cameron weighs over 18 lbs, while Evan and Sophia are 16 lbs, and only an ounce apart (believe it or not Evan now outweighs his sister). Cameron is above the 75th percentile, while Evan and Sophia are in the 50th. It's amazing to see their plots on the growth curve...they've come so far! So hard to imagine those tiny little peanuts that we took home from the hospital six months ago. The worst part of the visit was watching them get their six month booster shots...I think Daddy cried more than the babies!
Here are some great photos of the babies at Christmas and enjoying their presents:Good Morning and Merry Christmas you little elves!

This penguin is a HUGE hit...the babies love it!

This is their new wardrobe...Won't need to buy them clothes for at LEAST a few months!

Auntie Amy shows Sophia her new puppy...she LOVES it!

Grampaw Mawk and Sophia with her "sweet pea" doll-too cute!

Daddy and Evan open gifts.

Grammy Missy and Cameron. This ball lit up, and Cameron thought it was just delicious!

Cameron and "Auntie" Sarah.

Auntie Amy did Sophia's hair...we call it her "Sophia Loo Who" look...an ode to Dr. Seuss.
This picture just can't convey the cuteness and sweetness of this moment...my brother Jonny was watching TV with Evan and they both had the exact same look on their face...priceless!

Grammy Laurie plays with Evan's new toy.

Uncle Joe hangs out with Evan.

How cute...the stockings are almost as big as they are!

My Auntie Anne had this sled set up for pictures...what a great idea!
Sophia (her usual diva self refused to look at the camera)

Cameron (handsome devil just like his daddy)

Evan (a smile that melts a million hearts)

We just LOVE our solid food! Sophia has decided I'm not fast enough, so it's better that she feeds herself.

They love to play together.

Now that they are officially aware of each other, they constantly reach out for their brother and sister...some more gently than others!
