Ohhhh...this is getting fun! The babies have been on rice cereal for about a week, and it has been very interesting to say the least. I did not expect much, except maybe some very messy, confused babies. That's pretty much what I got! Besides the fact that the stuff is just plain NASTY-like glorified papier-mâché paste-the babies just weren't quite sure what to do with it. All the experts say the first few times is just practice, so I'm not stressing over how little, if any, actually got digested. It sure was fun to watch, though!
Evan made the worst face...but actually did the best with eating. He managed to not spit it all out and even swallowed some! We joked about how clean he was after eating...
My poor Cameron was clueless...He did great opening his mouth and taking it off the spoon, but he thought that's where his job ended. He just gives you a cereal-filled smile and lets it all ooze out...lovely!
The babies are all teething, so any given day you can hear screaming and crying coming from our house...and that's just from mommy and daddy. Seriously though, they are horrible to feed, and just gnaw on their hands all day long intermittently screaming and looking at you like...can't you do something!!!???? I've heard it could take months...so looking forward to it. Poor Cameron has become more slobbery than any dog I've ever seen...he has a constant line of drool that ends in a puddle on his shirt. It's especially fun when trying to feed him solids...I didn't think rice cereal or strained sweet potatoes could look any more gross until I saw it slide out of his mouth in a saliva waterfall.
Cameron loves this doorway jumper...hasn't quite figured out how to jump yet but for now he is happy just hanging out. He does love it when I bounce it for him, so hopefully soon he'll figure out how to do it on his own.
Evan...we call him our "Little Man Tate" because he is always studying things. He even sticks his tongue out when he is "thinking" very hard...
Cameron is too cute...all he wants to do is smile at you. He is becoming a bit of a momma's boy, and that's just fine with me!
They love to look at each other when they're playing...it is so cool to see the bonds forming already.
Sophia was so funny with this phone. She kept looking at it and trying to figure out how it worked. She eventually gave up and just tried to eat it instead.
This was too funny. Evan used to be the one who sat still and just played with everything in the Excersaucer, while Cameron wouldn't touch a thing but bounced around like crazy. One day I looked over and Cameron was playing with a toy, and kept looking back at Evan doing the same. I swear to God, Evan taught him how to work it. The next day, Evan was bouncing around, so Cameron must have returned the favor!
