My First Solo Day...and More Visitors

Today was the first day flying solo with the babies...Dave had a golf tournament and was gone most of the day. I successfully bathed, dressed, and fed all three babies without a hitch-hooray for me! Well, I did get peed on once (thanks Evan). Then I got brave and decided to take them for a walk. Then I got even braver and decided to bring our dog, Bella. Since our minivan is still in limbo, we have been using Dave's Explorer because we can fit all three across the backseat. In this case brave may equal stupid. You see, Bella usually rides in the backseat so she can stick her head out the window, as dogs do. But as you can imagine, the backseat was occupied by three babies in carseats. I put Bella in the way back with the triple stroller, but apparently she didn't like that seat because she decided to JUMP OVER the seat and ONTO THE BABIES!!!!! Thank God this happened 3 seconds after I started the car so I was able to throw the car into park, jump out, and pull her over the seat all the while screaming bloody murder at her. I don't know who was more terrified, me, Bella, or the babies. Thankfully they were not hurt, although I cannot say the same for Bella. After I calmed down I did what I should have done to begin with, and put her in the front seat with me. So, thirty minutes after we started, we arrived at our destination. As you can see below, all three babies arrived safely. The silly part is it took 30 minutes to prepare for a 15 minute walk. Such is my life.

All packed up and ready to go...as you can see they were so excited they could hardly contain themselves.
We have also had many more visitors this past week. My Aunt Lisa and cousin Lily (who was the flower girl in our wedding) visited us from Florida, and we had a bit of a reunion, as my best friend Heather (who was my Matron of Honor) and two of Dave's best friends who were also in the wedding came to see us. Of course everyone was smitten with our lovely offspring!
Evan had a bit of a crush on Heather...he fussed for hours when she left.

Sophia and Evan bond with "Auntie" Heather.

My friend Julie from work comes and lends a hand...she brought cheesecake and coffee for mommy and daddy-basic necessities of course and much appreciated!

Jimmy "Fitz"...Dave's good friend since childhood...the babies made themselves right at home.

Newlyweds Maura and John (aka Johnny Mac)...baby fever all around!! John was a little nervous at first but thankfully loosened up!

Heather helps with the nightly feed.

See, I told you Evan had a crush on her...can't you feel the love?

Heather holds Sophia for the first time.

Lily and her friend Lauren...totally enthralled with Sophia.

Aunt Lisa hypnotizes Cameron with her jewelry.

Auntie Amy came to visit, and taught Sophia how to "chill out".

Be Cool. (don't you love my daughter's mohawk?)

We had our first pediatrician appointment with all three...very long as you can imagine, but they all got an A+. They are growing wonderfully and very healthy. They are getting so big...as of Thursday Cameron was 8 lbs 13 oz, Evan was 7 lb 5.5 oz, and Sophia was 8 lbs.

Great Grandma Naunie is so proud.
