So here I am...17 weeks pregnant with three babies! I can hardly believe it myself. Dave and I could not be more excited and terrified at the same time. Just thinking about what is to come can set waves of panic, but thankfully we are blessed with amazing family and friends who are there to support us. We have a level 2 ultrasound scheduled in about a week, so we are hoping to hear good news about the trio's developments, as well as find out for sure what we are having. The midwife at my OB told us at our last ultrasound that we have a boy, a girl, and a question mark...Baby A was not cooperating! Meanwhile, I am eating enough for a small army in order to pack on as many pounds as I can. I never thought I'd be happy to see the number on the scale get BIGGER, but bigger numbers mean a better chance for bigger babies! I am actually enjoying myself...for once I have a reason to eat all my guilty pleasures-pasta, steak, ice cream...jealous?!
I am continuing to work as a special ed. teacher until I am 24 weeks, which will be in mid-April. I am hoping that this will help me get to at least 32 weeks, but one thing I've learned is I don't have much of a say in the decisions my body makes lately! Until then, I am trying to stay as active as I can without pushing myself too hard. My body is not shy about telling me enough is enough. Thank God for my incredible husband who is more than willing to pick up the slack for me...he even helps me with my shoes! What a doll!
