We're 2 Years Old!!!
We are now the proud parents of 2 year olds! I am loving this age...they are so much fun and I just want to bottle it up! We have had quite a busy week of celebrations, including a trip to the beach, a Day Out With Thomas the Tank Engine, and of course, a birthday party. We just had their 2 year check up, and as always they get a clear bill of health. The boys are very close in height and weight...a tad over 29 lbs and 35". Sophia is still a bit of a peanut at 25 lbs and 32"...but we like her that way! Their language is just taking off...you can actually have a conversation with them...which is kind of scary sometimes. Evan is making great progress, and we're so proud of him!
We took the babies to Edaville Railroad in Carver, MA for a Day Out With Thomas. Thomas travels around and gives rides at different railroads. The boys are big fans, and Sophia just goes along with it. The day was a total washout...it rained from about 15 minutes after we got there until we left. But I have to say, overall it was still a blast. The babies really had a great time, so we did too!

Say Cheese Thomas!
Evan and Poppo on the train
Thankfully there is a big indoor play area at Edaville. The boys loved the ball pit!
Thank goodness the train had windows...we stayed dry and still got to see all the sights! Cameron decided to have a meltdown, so he spent a good portion of the day with his "Dougie" ie. his pacifier. It is his one and only vice...he has no method of self-soothing, and now that his language has blossomed he can ask for it by name. I had planned to wean him off, but given the severity and longevity of his meltdowns I've decided to hold off...yeah, I'm a wuss.
We snuck in one ride before the storm...

Happy Birthday! They party was so much fun...we had bought a Little Tikes bouncy house and the kids loved it...Cameron spent most of the party in it with his second cousin Aydon.
Uncle Scott helps Evan on his new tricycle...with a little help from Sophia of course.

My godmother Anne did the cake again this year...she's a confectionery genius!
We managed to get them to sit still long enough for one quick family photo

Gifts are a blur...they ripped through them pretty quickly while I frantically tried to locate faces to thank...

Cameron preferred to hang in the cabana with Naunie
Carousel ride at Lenny and Joe's Fish Tale
Sophia wanted nothing to do with the ride...unless mommy went with her.

Evan was the only one brave enough to go swimming with mommy...it was cold but felt so good on the 95 degree day!
I couldn't believe my little fishy wouldn't go in the water...maybe next time!
