Well, as you can guess we've had an incredibly exciting and eventful summer...relatively speaking. Most of our summer was spent at home, running around in diapers (kids not me), eating ice cream and popsicles, cuddling on the couch, and just all around enjoying the perks of parenthood. The rest of it was spent "on adventures". The biggest adventure we've had is our trip to Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA. If you've never heard of it, Google it. It's an awesome place, not just for little guys, but the parents who grew up with Big Bird and Ernie. My mom took me when it first opened in the early 80's...but this place has come a LONG way since then! The babies (yes I still think of them as babies) loved it-fun doesn't even begin to describe it! Grammy and Poppo Denier came along-thank goodness, it was definitely a one to one ratio event. We spent two days at the park, and came home exhausted but happy. Unfortunately, we also brought home more than souvenirs. All three got Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease....my cousin Steve and his family got back a week before us, and he said his kid came back with it too. Apparently we missed the "buy one T-shirt get communicable disease free" sign.
I know...there's just something wrong with this picture. My cousin Jenny's little guy went on this too, and he's just over 1...I figured they wouldn't let the little guys on if it wasn't safe?! They actually loved it-in a terrified way!
WEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
The best part of the park is meeting the characters. They come out every few hours, but if you don't catch them early you'll never get near them. We paid extra to have "breakfast" with Abby Cadabby and Cookie Monster. So worth it...they came around multiple times to "meet" the kids. They didn't stop talking about it all day!
Big Bird!!! Dressed for the occasion...
Sophia was a bit nervous at first, but smiled the whole time! She is in LOVE with Abby Cadabby...maybe because she's heavy into a "pink" phase right now.
High fives all around...
We love you Abby!
Aw, Ernie...he never goes out of style~
Evan was like, "Ernie, I love you man...but I gotta get my eat on!"
Posing with Abby Cadabby
Oh my gosh it's Super Grover! I don't know who was more excited, me or Sophia. Yeah, probably me...
Abby again...Sophia really was having fun!
It was almost impossible to get a good picture-the kids kept turning around to see the characters. Not a bad thing, really!
C is for Cookie!!!!!
Evan and Cookie Monster...homeboys for life.
High five Super Grover~
We stayed in a two room suite with the babies...with the intent of them sleeping in one room, us in the other. Didn't work out that way. We ended up putting them all in our room with us so we could watch TV after they went to bed. They really did a great job-except for Evan. He woke up, saw us next to him, and wanted to party. One night he shared our bed quietly like a trooper...the next night-not so much. After two hours of tossing, turning, kicking, and a million "mama!" and "dada!" Dave got up to set up the sofa bed in the next room...with the intent of taking Evan in there. As soon as Dave got up, Evan sprawled out over his side of the bed and passed out. Poor Dave slept on a bumpy sofa bed that night-alone, while I shared our bed with a much younger, more adorable man. Who snores a lot less...
Driving the fire truck on Sesame Street
Oscar!
We had ice cream for dinner at least two nights this vacation...I know, I'm an awesome mom!
They loved this play area...kind of like a bouncy house with big foam blocks.
Sophia the architect~
Evan on the bouncy...
What's up Oscar, old buddy old pal!
Cam and Evan went down these huge tube slides...we couldn't go down with them so we climbed up this huge thing of stairs, then ran back down so they could see us at the bottom. They loved it! Sophia was having none of it...she won't go down any slide without "mommy".
Evan
They love the carousel!
Cool topiaries at the park
Cameron gets his bounce on...
Among our other adventures was a trip to the Lutz Children's Museum in Manchester. It's much smaller than the Middletown one, and the kids loved it. It was small enough to cover before nap/lunch but big enough to hold their attention.
Taking a quick snack break.
Need fuel for the museum...
Sophia was so brave...she pet a hedgehog!
Cameron rides a pony...
They had a cool dress up trunk...Sophia couldn't decide between a duck and pig costume, so we figured, why should she have to choose! Quack-Oink!
Yeah, we had our first painting experience...and last-for a while at least!
Sophia did the best...until she decided to give herself blue highlights.
Sophia finally decided pink was her color. Oink!
Evan and Sophia take a rest in the loft.
Hi Mom! Come on up! (Evan)
Evan and Sophia mail a package
Delivery!
All smocked up and nothin' to paint!
The best part of the museum is the animal room!
Cameron and Sophia get up close and personal with some lizards
Naunie came to stay with us for a few days, and we took her out for lunch!
And ice cream, of course! Cameron loves chocolate, just like his mommy!
Evan decided to have ice cream with his buddy Thomas

Again, Sophia is in a huge "pink" phase...Strawberry for her.
We love to stop and feed our duck friends...the geese too!
Evan is so fearless...here Goose!
After all that ice cream, obviously we need a good hot bath! I admit, I bathe them daily. I know it may seem somewhat anal but it's a great way to unwind, and there's nothing better the smell of a clean baby!
Cameron has some fun with the bubbles!
Evan and Sophia seem to gravitate toward each other...they share a special bond and love for trouble.
Sophia's new thing is "swimming like a mermaid"
Mom, can we get some privacy please!!!
