We had their 4 month pediatrician visit, and continue to get nothing but good news. The doctor said they are all growing and are just where they should be developmentally. She commented on how well they sit up and coo. Cameron weighs 15 lb 3 oz (above 50th percentile!), Sophia is 13 lb 12.5 oz (50th percentile) and Evan is 13 lb 9 oz (25th percentile). Way to go!!!
Evan found his "voice" recently and hasn't stopped "talking" since! I think that comes from daddy's side of the family! He is also continuously gnawing on his thumb...we think he has some early teeth coming in. Cameron is now grabbing things and trying to sit up on his own. Sophia giggles and loves to kick around on her playmat. All three are now officially aware of each other...it is so precious to watch them look over at each other with curiosity and smile! They are all three sleeping the night away in their cribs! We have to go in occasionally to replace pacis or give a quick "snack" but overall they sleep 10-12 hours at night...believe me we know how lucky we are!
Mom and dad are doing better about worrying so much...the doctor tried to reassure us that we are doing everything we should be and they are doing better than she ever expected. Good to hear, but hard to listen to. She gave us the all clear to start solids, but recommended waiting until six months. Since it's hard enough to feed them liquids right now, we decided to wait a bit longer.
