Can you believe they are 5 months old already? Rhetorical question really, but I myself am still trying to come to terms with it. What a wild ride it has been so far! Things are great, they are growing away of course and learning new tricks each day. The latest is Cameron's constant attempts to "stand up"...when I'm trying to burp him, when he's being held, when I'm trying to put him down for nap, etc. Thank goodness for the Excersaucer, which satiates his need for some time! We have been on quite the adventures lately...mommy is slowly but surely overcoming her schedule driven life to get out of the house once in a while. Sophia and Cameron went on their first trip to the mall with me and Grammy Denier. Why not all three? Figure it out! We brought Cameron because he is the one with the most "social anxiety" and Sophia because we want to reinforce the stereotype that girls love to shop (tee-hee). They had a blast...smiling away at all the passerbys and soaking up all the sights, sounds, and smells the mall has to offer. We of course bought nothing for ourselves, but the babies made out like bandits! Evan had a blast with daddy at home-loving the one on one attention.
We also took a trek to Eastford Elementary (where I teach) for their annual Thanksgiving Feast. We did not get to sample the delicacies (as delicious as they smelled) but did get plenty of attention from the kids. The babies loved interacting with them, it was so great to see. It was also great to see all my friends and co-workers again...as much as I love them and my job it still made me sad to hear "So you're coming back in January? Are you ready?" I don't think I'll ever be ready, but you do what you have to do, right?
All three babies are attempting to roll over...we are close but not quite there yet. My bet is on Evan being the first. He gets so far over, and it makes him so mad when he can't get over that "hump". He is also scooting all over his crib...I find him in some very strange positions each morning! We are going to start rice cereal at the end of the month...that should be an adventure in and of itself! Grammy Denier is very excited about it, so we will probably have our first "meal" (I use that term loosely) when she is here. She and Naunie come every Wednesday and it is the highlight of our week.

Here are some pictures of the babies at my school's feast. (I got many requests to "Put me on your blog!", but I could only include the ones that did not show the students' faces.)
This little boy was smitten with Sophia...he kept going over to her saying "Hi Baby! Do you want to play?" and going "Goo goo...goo goo!" He was there to eat his lunch, but I don't think he got too many bites in!
My friends Christine and Charlie get some snuggle time...poor Charlie, every baby he held cried. Don't take it personally!
Second cutest thing I've ever seen...Evan kept striking this pose and was kind enough to hold it so I could capture it forever!
So my house is officially "baby town"! Seriously, every square inch is covered with baby gear...it is getting out of control. As much as I attempt to organize it, this is what it looks like. Those of you who know me realize this is a big deal for me...I may need medication soon.
