Welcome Home Sophia and Cameron!

Yippee! Friday we welcomed Cameron and Sophia home! Evan is packing on the pounds so he can join them...hopefully by the end of the week. Here they are all packed up and ready to go!

Grandma and Grandpa Denier were there to welcome us with tons of balloons and a home cooked meal! They stayed until 10pm, then left us to our own devices! Our first night not surprisingly did not include much sleep. Between the adrenaline and Princess Sophia's squeaky fusses, I relived my college days and pulled an all-nighter...I seem to remember it being a lot more fun back then! This was complicated by the fact that Sophia had only been eating 25-30 ml at each feeding her last days in the NICU, so she came home on a 3 hour schedule. Cameron to no surprise was taking 40-60 ml so he was on a 4 hour schedule. Luckily, on her second day home Sophia ate much more-around 50 ml consistently, so we weaned her into the same schedule as her brother. MUCH easier!!!!! Also, we developed a bedtime routine...change, feed, book, music, swaddle. Worked like a charm!!!! Her highness was snug as a bug in her Miracle Blanket (lives up to its name) and we hardly heard a peep all night! I have to admit, the Baby Einstein lullabies helped mommy and daddy too!

We also took them for their first pediatrician check up today...doc says they look GREAT!!! They've both gained weight since coming home-Cameron is now 5 lb. 4 oz, and Sophia is 4 lb 12 oz. Our Evan is 10 grams away from being 4 lbs and getting into a crib! Once in the crib, he needs to maintain his temperature and keep up the feeds, and then all my sweet peas will be home at last!!!!!! Until then, Dave and I alternate daily visits to him...leaving the other alone with 2 babies. Not bad right now since all they do is sleep, eat, and poop/pee. Kind of like me right before I had them-HA!!

So happy to be home sweet home!

Happy 4th of July!
Princess Sophia was not happy...this picture gives you an idea of their personalities already! Cameron is so laid back...such an easy baby! Sophia on the other hand has a bit of a diva complex (can't think where she gets that from)!
Ahhhh...the Miracle Blanket lives up to it's name!!!! THANK YOU to my friend Jenny for recommending it, and my friend Viv for getting them for us! We owe you a debt of gratitude for a full night's sleep (well, full for having two newborns anyway)!

Uncle Scott helps with a 2am feeding...Bella stands guard to make sure he does it right.

Bella watches over her babies.
Don't judge...
Role Models!!!???
