Bring On Spring!!!!

So I don't know how this winter has been in your neck of the woods, but around the Northeast it seems to be NEVERENDING!  We have had so many snow days that I will be in school until the very end of June!  The only plus side is I get to spend more time with my kids...but being cooped up inside has created some "finer moments" as you will see below!  At this point, we are OVER the snow and cold and begging for any sign of spring!

The "Big Kid Bed" adventure continues...and it really is much better!  Most nights we only get one or two visits, and right now one of us sits in the hallway at bedtime until most are asleep.  Sophia has been such a trooper-every day she wakes up like a ray of sunshine saying "I'm a big girl I sleep in my bed all night!"

This past week I had a meeting with the Birth to Three (Early Intervention) teacher and the special education liaison at the preschool..I can hardly believe they will be in Pre-K next year!  They had done some Speech and other testing with Evan, and the good news is he no longer meets the qualifications for special education!  His speech, motor, cognitive, and other areas are right on track!  The bad news is...most people have difficulty understanding him and when he gets excited or upset his language is downright jibberish.  They are going to do more testing just to be sure, but either way we are so proud of the progress he has made!  The teacher confided in me that she never could have predicted his progress being so rapid from where he began!

She loves her dollies...such a little Mommy!

Having some lunch at the food court

I don't know...she must get it from Dave's side. :)

Food Court fun!

I have had to get creative with entertainment options...we are experimenting with sensory bins!

Cam and Evan's Big Boy Beds

Having fun on the playground with Cousin Kady

We went to a Touch-A-Truck in Dave's home town of Norwood, MA.  The boys were in their glory...Sophia was not a fan of the loud horns, but luckily her partner in crime, Cousin Kady, was there!

Sophia and Cameron showing off their sibling love!

Saturday morning means chocolate chip pancakes!

Cameron chillin'

If I'm gonna help Mommy in the kitchen, I need my apron!

Cameron loves to rock a mohawk after tubby!

Sophia does some light reading in Daddy's shed (it's a tractor manual)

My brave little toaster climbs the wall "all by herself"...this is an ongoing theme at this stage.  "I do it!" and "No all by myself!" are heard at least a dozen times a day.

Our little Irish Princess

After Touch-A-Truck we went back to Grandma and Grandpa Moran's for a double birthday celebration in honor of Daddy and Auntie Amy

Hopefully the last time my boys are in a police cruiser!

What we get when Daddy does her hair...he calls it a "Double Bow".  I call it a rat's nest!

Sensory Bin!

Holy Snow!!!!!  They call this "Snow Mountain".  Every day they would climb up and search for unicorns (Sophia) dinosaurs (Cameron) and cars (Evan)!

Evan made himself a little armchair!

Evan in his awesome raincoat...seriously, how cute is this!
