Spring is Sprung!

I know I'm not alone in this, but I love this time of year. Other than the first crimson leaf of fall, nothing warms my heart more than the sight of the first crocus peeking out of the frozen earth. Everything is golden...from the smiling sun, to the blooming forsythia and cheerful daffodils. Not to mention the fact that we can finally get the babies outside without the twenty minute ordeal of getting them "bundled up"! This spring has seemed particularly impatient, as if summer is banging on the door telling her to hurry up. Believe me, I'm not complaining...and neither are the babies. The warmer weather brings Spring Break-which means fun outings, cool ice cream, and more time hanging out with Mama.

Our Easter was wonderful...we got to visit our extended Moran clan at Auntie Amy's house Saturday, and Grammy and Poppo Denier brought Naunie to visit Sunday. The babies also had a blast at the church that Naunie attends-they had an Easter egg hunt and we even got them to sit still long enough for a picture with Peter Rabbit.

Sophia adds some finishing touches to her cupcake at the church Easter festival.
Evan was too busy eating his cupcake to decorate it.
I don't know what's cuter...the concentration Cam's exerting to eat his cupcake or the fact that he's doing it with an adorable bunny face. Maybe both!

Very hard to get them to sit still...Evan was a bit nervous at first, but after a few minutes he was running up to the bunny giving him hugs and high fives!
Cousin Kady giving Evan a ride in her "Pink Cadillac" (insert cheesy 80's song here)
Poppo Denier set up our sandbox Easter. We love it!

Happy Easter Poppo!
Cam gets a helping hand from Poppo decorating his cookie.
Evan says, "I got this Mom!"

Sophia knows there's a certain art to cookie decorating...more is more!

Grammy knows us well...the crazy straws from our Easter baskets were a huge hit!

We took a day trip to Southwick Zoo in Mendon, MA. Great zoo...the kids loved being able to see the animals so close. The only disappointment (beside the 90 degree heat in April) was that we didn't get to see an elephant. Maybe we'll get one for their birthday party...

Taking a lunch break (look closely in the background...then see below for a zoom)

Poor Cam could not handle the heat...he took a nap during lunch.

All the cool animals, and Cam thought this chair was the most exciting thing.

Evan and Grammy check out the apes.

The boys grab a quick snack before hitting the petting zoo.

Cam and Daddy check out the petting zoo.
Evan feeds a goat.
Again, and again, and again...strangers kept giving him food because his cuteness factor was so high. He loved it!
Sophia seems a bit lost...

Sophia gives Evan a "hug".

Dave got me an iPad for Christmas. I hardly ever use it for myself...I really wanted it for the kids at school. Little did I know how much the babies would love it.

We took a trip to Narragansett, RI with Grammy and Poppo Denier. What a beautiful day! The weather was perfect, and we found our new beach! The sand was white and soft, the waves are the perfect size...we are going to have so much fun this summer!

Grammy, Poppo, and the babies.

Poppo and Evan at the shore. Evan even dipped his feet in...he's braver than I am~

Sophia thought the beach was awesome...like one giant sandbox!

Evan was all about exploring...if only he could decide where to go first!

What a great picture...if only they would look at the camera!

Cameron ponders the meaning of life...

At first Sophia wasn't too sure about the sand...I don't think she's ever been barefoot in sand before!

All this summer-like weather calls for frozen treats every day! This day it was chocolate covered bananas. Yummo!

Evan obviously enjoyed it.

Cam takes a more careful approach. He's been burned by ice cream headaches before!

Sophia ate all the chocolate and any pesky banana that was attached. then she gave the nasty mess that was left to me, and said, "Done".

Evan liked Mommy's ice cream better.

Cameron

Sophia chillaxin' with her ice cream. Don't even try to "help" her...if you come within two inches of her spoon or bowl she'll scream bloody murder. No joke.

Sitting like big boys and girl
