Oh, Boy...This Could Get Ugly!

Well...the day has arrived. It's official...THEY'RE MOBILE! Cameron and Sophia are officially crawling. Cameron does the "army crawl" but is FAST! Sophia usually favors this style as well, but is able to crawl on her hands and knees. My theory is that she's worried about getting ashy knees. Evan CAN crawl, but being the professor he is has come to the conclusion that it takes less energy to roll, so why bother? "Operation Baby-Proof" continues in stages. We now use the other half of the living room as a play room, and the dining room is now the place for our latest adventure..."Baby Roller Derby"! All three zoom around in their walkers, and of course the boys love to crash into each other. It took Sophia a little longer to figure it out, but now that she's got it...look out!

We have been on many adventures lately...cousin Kady turned 3 and we had a blast at her birthday party! It was at an indoor bouncy place and right up Cameron's alley. Uncle Tim and soon-to-be-official Aunt Sarah (congratulations!) bounced them to their heart's content. Sophia wasn't such a fan, though. I'm not sure if it was the trip down the slide, or her breakfast, or just a bug, but about an hour after the party started she puked all over poor Grampy Moran...and some poor little boy who was an innocent bystander. She was fine, and thankfully Mommy thought to pack extra outfits.

Great-Great and Poppy are back-hooray! They hadn't seen the babies in almost 7 months, so we took them for a visit. It was as if they never left-the babies LOVE them!

Plans are in the works for THE BIRTHDAY...the babies turn 1 on June 20th. We'll most likely have family over to the house...hopefully the weather will be better in June than it has in May.

For those of you who don't know...my mom watches the babies during the week every day except Tuesday, which is Dave's day off. We truly don't know what we'd do without her, but for the past few weeks we've had to figure it out. She is in the Army reserves, and had to go away for three weeks to California. Besides the obvious fact that we MISS HER LIKE CRAZY, Dave and I had to come up with a back up plan for childcare. Day care is not really an option due to the cost, and the fact that it would only be for three weeks. Grammy and Grampy Moran to the rescue! Missy and Luke took two weeks off to come and help out, and it was SO fun! The babies really got the chance to bond with them, and we are SO thankful that they could help out! Next week is Daddy Day Care...woo hoo!

Evan gets a look at one handsome devil...

"Baby Land"-we were calling it Baby Jail but Grammy Moran was appalled so we're trying to accommodate. I guess it IS more like Disneyland than Alcatraz...

Sophia's personality has changed so much. She's much less cranky now and very friendly!

Evan shows off his new trick...he loves to make raspberries and "Indian" noises on his arm. (I know it's not politically correct to call it that, but how else can I describe it?)

Mommy...put the darn camera away and come play!!! I'm not gonna tell you again!!!

In order to try and overcome some of our "sensory" food issues (gagging and puking) I have followed the advice of letting them play with their food a bit. Not good for my Type A personality...but as a mom I'm trying!
