Where Does the Time Go?!

Remember these Little Goblins?  That was then...And this is now!

Ok.  You've heard all the cliches.  "Time flies when you're having fun"  "They grow up so fast".  Well, lately, for me, they've taken on a whole new level of reality.  As another trio of holidays is upon us, I find myself looking at my three babies and realizing...they're not babies.  Not anymore.  And, as fun as they are now, and as crazy as it was when they were younger, I can't help but get a little sad.  I just want to freeze time...for a day, a week, a year, and enjoy them for what they are.  I want to soak up every last drop of curiosity, every little bit of innocence, each tiny tidbit of mischief.  As excited as I am for all these milestones and new experiences, part of me wants to yell, "Stop!  Wait!  I'm not ready!"  It's not that I'm not ready for them to grow up, I just wish it didn't happen so fast.  I wish life was like On-Demand...you could pause, rewind, freeze, and watch all your favorite parts any time you want (and fast forward through all the not-so-great parts).  Until then, I just click on those old blog posts and laugh.  And cry.

Cameron and Evan having some fun at a park with Daddy.  My grandmother used to take me here all the time when I was younger...it's so great to be able to share it with my little ones now!
WEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Sophia

A whole playground, and what do they want to play with?  Traffic cones.

Nothing says fall fun like a big pile of leaves.

Snack time!

Tetherball, anyone?

Our annual trip to Pumpkintown, USA in East Hampton.  It's a lawn and garden place in my mom's town that puts on this huge display of "pumpkin people" and little buildings.  It's kind of a landmark around here.

Cameron tells Poppo, "I want this one"

Cameron loved this windmill...he kept calling it the Count from Sesame Street.

Or maybe this one!

Dinner at Grammy and Poppo's...we love her spaghetti and meatballs!

My little Diva.  She certainly has her own style!

Cameron jamming it out at G-La and Papa's

My little Mozart

Seriously, just when you think she can't get any cuter, she puts on a tutu and tiara!

Daddy shows Sophia the pumpkin's guts.  She immediately said, "NO thank you Daddy!" and ran away.

Jack-o-lantern!

Presenting...Pinky the pumpkin!

Cameron aka Peter Pan.  My first attempt at a homemade costume.  The hat didn't quite work out, but he still looked adorable!

Sophia as Tinkerbell

I tried to make Evan a Captain Hook costume, but failed miserably, so Plan B was being a Neverland Pirate!

They had SO much fun trick-or-treating!  They totally "got it" and would walk right up to the houses.

Trick or Treat!

Cameron kept trying to go in people's houses.  Thank God he's cute.

Evan...Arggghhhhh!

Okay, so my kids are a little weird.  Their latest thing is getting naked after dinner, putting buckets on their head and marching around the house.  Hopefully this tradition won't go with them to college.

This picture is just BEGGING for a caption.  I just don't have it.

Powerwheels are on the list for birthday presents.  They get behind the wheel of every one they encounter.  Thankfully, it's been family so far.  I dread the day a kid shows up at the park with one.
