So all three babies are officially walking (at least 5 steps)! They can't get themselves to standing yet, so they crawl over to something, pull themselves up, and they're off! Evan is taking the lead...if he has somewhere to go, he's walking! Cameron has no fear...he just lunges forward so you had better be there to catch him! Sophia is by far the steadiest, however she doesn't seem to see the point. She was actually the first to take some steps, but now she just shows no interest. The boys get all excited when you stand them up and send them off, but she just pulls the "limp baby" and falls to the ground. Stubborn brat. :)
We have official first words! I don't count "mama" and "dada" since they've been babbling that for a while.
Cameron="kitty"
Evan="done"
Sophia="book"
Cameron was the first to utter, and is the most intelligible, of course anything with fur is a 'kitty'. Evan throws his paci into his crib each morning when I take him out and goes "done". Sophia was saying "book" again and again this morning while I was in the laundry room. At first I thought she was just babbling, she has very intricate "conversations" with herself all the time, but when I peeked around the corner she was pointing to the bookshelf! Of course, ask and you shall receive!
Apparently they all take after their momma...books are their obsession. If I want to keep them busy for a few minutes, I dump a whole bunch on the floor. We call it "library"!
Well, we are officially off the bottles! Yippee!! This meant a change in our morning routine. It used to be wake up, snuggle and sip a bottle with mommy and daddy while watching Sesame Street. Now its wake up and munch on Cheerios while watching Sesame Street and waiting for momma to make breakfast. They are also off baby food-I never though the day would come! They have a very limited diet, but we are trying new foods a few times and hoping they catch on. They pretty much gobble up any fruit, but veggies are iffy. They LOVE cheese and yogurt, crackers, Pirate Booty, pasta, waffles, toast, grammy's meatballs, grilled cheese, cereal, chicken nuggets, and french fries. Typical toddler fare. I'm trying to venture into some other dinner options because I feel like they eat the same thing every night, but you know how that goes. Right now our "holy trinity" is grilled cheese, pasta with butter and parmesan, and Gerber Ravioli pick-ups. If given a choice, they could live off Pirate Booty, Cheerios, and fruit.
How cute is my daughter?! She was "reading" to the pillow pals!
So we took a trip to Manchester, CT so I could make up some Dream Dinners...that's the company that gives you all the ingredients for an awesome meal, and you measure them all out in baggies with a recipe card, take them home, freeze them, and cook them whenever you want. So cool. While we were there we stopped by Buckland Hills mall. They have an amazing carousel and play area. The babies were in HEAVEN!!! We had so much fun, but the only drawback was they all got a case of the "ickies" from the germ infested playground. We are swimming in boogers (my apologies for the visual). So worth it though-I've never seen them smile so much!
Evan was a little social butterfly-he loved playing with the other kids. This older boy was so cute..he kept introducing himself to Evan and chasing him through the tunnel.
Cameron loved climbing everything. Sophia took a little longer to get accustomed to her surroundings, but she eventually explored a bit. She would run into her b

They did NOT want to sit still for this picture. Evan was about a millisecond away from jumping ship when I snapped it.

Mommy and Cameron on the carousel. Poor Grammy had to take the picture from her horse while holding onto Evan. Hence, my head got cut off. Oh well!
Sophia and Naunie. She wanted to ride a horsey too, but poor Naunie couldn't climb on. She got a turn later.
Grammy and Evan.
Shoveling down our lunch so we can go for a ride.

Yummy! Mommy brought her own food for us this time, but has a sneaking suspicion that next time we'll be eying the "golden arches". Grammy gave us our first french fry...and it was a hit!
Most of the time they play in "baby land" but for a few hours a day we do what Dave and I call "Free Range Babies" and let them explore the whole downstairs. One day Cameron got into the pots and pans, so we started a band.
Evan jams it out.
Rock on!
Good Morning! Daddy and his boys.
Cameron and Evan perform some teamwork to push their truck across the jungle that has grown in our yard this summer.

Awww...love these moments!
We are trying to learn how to use forks and spoons. After a minor debacle involving some yogurt, they seem to be catching on. They do a great job getting the food in their mouth, but don't quite have the "stab" and "dip" motions. So I run between the three like a mad woman stabbing food and giving it to them. They seem to appreciate it.

Cameron is a sneaky, smart little booger. I had this laundry basket set up as a sad attempt to contain them. The other two saw it for the wall of resistance that I intended it to be, but Cam had other ideas...it was simply another obstacle for him to overcome. First he tried crawling through it...

when that didn't work he lifted it upright...

and eventually wiggled his way around it. Mission accomplished! We need about 5 more baby gates!
And this gem is his newest trick. He drops toys behind the toybox, lifts himself on top, and stares at them. Apparently this is fun...if you're a one year old.
We went to visit Great-Great and Poppy (my grandparents). What fun! Great-Great babyproofed by taking
everything off the floor and tables. They kids had a blast crawling all over their house, and Poppy had a blast following them!
Grammy and Grampa Denier went camping in New Hampshire, so we went to visit for the day. It was a beautiful day, until we tried going to the beach. The tide was in, so there was maybe two feet of beach, and it started pouring about twenty minutes after we got there. The babies didn't seem to mind...they loved crawling around the sand, but the water was WAY too cold for their taste.
Thank goodness for grandpas. We've had this choo-choo wagon since Christmas, but didn't put it together. I knew if we brought it, Grandpa Tim could help. Dave was very useful...he helped screw in the seatbelts.
Yay! We love our choo-choo wagon!
Evan takes a ride on Grandpa Tim's shoulders.
Oh the fun we have. Who needs expensive, fancy toys when you have newspaper?! I had a blast scrubbing all the ink off her hands and knees later!
